By following this step-by-step guide you can Create Holiday Advertisement
Banner. In this tutorial we will use Pen, Marquee, Lasso, Dodge, Burn
tools and other effects. A banner or a header is a graphic that is found
at the top of a web site which usually displays the company name and the logo.

1. Open a new document in Photoshop of any size and with a transparent
background. Now press Ctrl + D, then go to Filter menu and
apply Cloud sub-option from Render option.

2. Here First select the Smudge Tool (with Opacity=80%
and brush size 80 px) apply on the cloud to get the result as shown below:

3. Now its time to color the sky, double-click the layer and apply the
Gradient Overlay settings as shown below:

4. Now to create a mountain roughly select the area as show (The selection
must be look like a mountain). Here I use Lasoo tool for selection.

5. Fill the selection with white color on a new layer. Then on the left
hand site of the mountain select an area with Lasso tool.

6. Fill the selection with any color on a new layer, here I use #C9EFFB
for icy look. Then select the Smudge tool (with the same setting
you apply on cloud) and apply.

7. Then hold down the Alt key and click on
the middle of the two layer (to Create Clipping Mask)as shown below:

8. Repeat the steps on right hand site and other parts (if required).
You can apply Burn and Dodge tool to get
the shadow effect (I apply around the ages).

9. Now its time to create the Sun. Create a circle with Elliptical
Marquee tool (hold down the Shift key for perfect circle) and fill the selection
with black color on a new layer.

10. Place the black circle layer just below the mountain layer
to get natural look. Now double-click the circle layer and apply the setting
as shown.

11. Your document should be look like the image shown below
after following the above steps:

12. Now its time to add tree to you banner. Create a shape as
shown below (Here I use the color #370909).

13. To create leaf for you tree, create a shape as shown below
and fill with #50984A on a new layer. Apply Burn
(for darker shade), Dodge (for lighter shade) tool around
the adges and with Pencil tool (color #FFFF78) as shown to
get the natural look.

14. Duplicate and place the leaf on the top of the tree. Duplicate
the hole tree and place as shown below on the second image :

15. To add grass create a shape with Lasoo
tool and fill with green color (#24900F) on a new layer.
Duplicate the layer 2 times and place as shown below apply Smudge
tool just bottom of the grass:

16. Now on a new layer just below the grass layer apply brush
tool of any size with #601A05 color. Now apply Smudge
tool (size = 80, Opacity = 80%).

17. Add one or two images you like to do on your holiday, here
I add skating and boating images on the two corner.

18. Now we’re very close to being finished. Add an image
of glass with lemon image and place that as shown below:

19. Then add text to you banner. Here’s the finished picture.
