I saw this image somewhere and thought let me do a photoshop tutorial. I will show how you can draw springs and a tank. It looks to me like a compressor or some other industial equipment. Take a look.

Photoshop tools and techniques used:
Paint bucket tool, Lasso tool, Pen tool, Gradient tool, Elliptical marquee tool,
Rectangular marquee tool, Dodge tool and other effects.

1. Open a new document size is ( 300px,
300px ) . Now using Rectangular marquee tool create a new shape fill with Gradient tool ( #7E7B76, #F2F1F7, BCB8B7
).

2. Again use Elliptical marquee tool, create the new shape as shown below and fill color with Gradient tool ( #7E7B76, #F2F1F7, BCB8B7 ).

3. Now pick Lasso tool and sketch a new shape and select then delete layer 1.

3.Now use Rectangular marquee tool to draw the bottom part fill color using Gradient tool ( #7E7B76, #F2F1F7, BCB8B7 ).

4. Use Elliptical marquee tool to create these holes (fill with black) using Paint bucket tool.

5. Using Lasso tool create a new shape and fill color with
Gradient tool.

6. Take the pen tool, create the shape as shown right click on the shape then click make selection then press ok. Now after you make selection use paint bucket to fill the color. After that use dodge tool, brush size 4 and range shadow and pick exposure and then paint as shown below.

7. Now make copy of layer 3 as shown below. Adjust the size of the shape and reduce it accordingly.

8. Now lets fit these spring in a box.

9. Leave the background layer and then press ( Ctrl + Shift
+ E ) to merge all layers into one layer.

10. Now make 2 more copies of layer 1 as shown below.

11. Use Rectangular marquee tool to create the shape of a pipe and use Gradient tool to fill color ( #8C8C8E, #F2F1F7, 8C8C8E ). Make 2 copies of the pipe.

12. Using Rectangular marquee tool to create the tank. You will also have to use Elliptical marquee tool for circular part of the tank. Then using Gradient tool fill color(
#8C8C8E, #F2F1F7, 8C8C8E ). Double click on this layer and use Drop shadow, outer shadow, Inner glow, Bevel and emboss effects to your liking.

13. I will Lasso tool now to create the base of tank and again use Drop shadow, outer glow,
Inner shadow, Stroke, Bevel and emboss effects.

14. Again select Elliptical marquee tool and create shape as shown below and fill with Gradient tool color ( #7E7B76, #F2F1F7, BCB8B7 ) .
And select this layer and apply Drop shadow, outer
glow, Satin, Bevel and emboss effects.

15. That's the final image.
